DRM [noun]
Acronym for Digital Rights Management. Technologies used by manufacturers, publishers and content creators to protect and control the use of digital content and devices. Example: Music purchased from iTunes can only be accessed via iTunes and approved devices.
Now that I don’t own an iPod, what do I do with all my music that’s locked up with Apple’s DRM?
