GeekWord – DRM

DRM [noun]

Acronym for Digital Rights Management.  Technologies used by manufacturers, publishers and content creators  to protect and control the use of digital content and devices.  Example: Music purchased from iTunes can only be accessed via iTunes and approved devices.

Now that I don’t own an iPod, what do I do with all my music that’s locked up with Apple’s DRM?
